Half of our professional lives I feel is spent in Goa. Not because we're a bunch of party animals united over our love for fashion. But because our Co-founders have the strongest connection with the city. While to one it's a second home, the other one runs a successful real estate business out of the picturesque party destination of our country. But what's unheard of to us is that how they would choose Goa as their holiday destination in the peak of monsoon season. The girls are quick to break the myth and give us some serious vacation goals from Goa.
While we all love our super tanned Baga beach bodies, Goan beaches around monsoon are a subtle, almost romantic affair. Ideal if you're looking for some peace and quiet, with the waves providing just the right amount of music to the ears. Take a long stroll on the beach, barefoot. It'll clear more than just your minds and maybe even give your soul some respite from the hustle bustle of the cities we're used to living in. This is a great season to swim in the lush greenery of the city. Tread along the algae paths towards the Dudhsagar Falls to witness them in their full splendor and bloom. It's one sight you don't want to miss.
Who needs to go that extra mile to get adventure out of a water sport when nature is doing so for you. Rent that scooter and let the calmness of a Goan shower wet every pore of your as you explore the city while driving on the wide roads with nothing but freedom in your stride and fresh air cooling off the water droplets wetting your face. From North Goa to South, take this addictive journey and we assure you, you'll always come back for more.
And for the foodies, well come hail or storm Goan cuisine has its own charm in the rains. Head to Mum's kitchen for some spicy prawn curry in the rains, Ciao Bella for homemade pizzas to snuggle & Grand Hyatt for some quiet luxury in their gorgeous outdoor views. Desserts in the stunning Tamarind Hotel are a must for all foodies! And for the intellectuals, try and catch a play at Al Fresco with their mouth watering high tea to compliment the experience.
We feel this is the best time to be in Goa away from crowds and touristy season, weather is just perfect and nature is in full bloom contributing to a healthier you. Enjoy the beautiful Spas of Goa, meditate and rejuvenate away from the madness of the cities and feel closer to yourself than ever before. A very different Goa, and something you must experience at least once in your lifetime.
Packing already? Well see you there!
